EU Operation Atalanta Somalia 2012
From March to June Portugal participated in the effort to protect merchant navigation against piracy in the coast of Somalia and the Aden Gulf. This mission was carried out by the Portuguese frigate N.R.P. "Corte Real" with the Fénix Flight helicopter detachment aboard. Here are some photos of our Lynx the Fénix and some other helicopters involved in the theater of operations.
